Beacon Hill Family Fun League – Are You In?

We are two dads in Beacon Hill North who have grown a little weary with little league competitive baseball. So we are organizing a Beacon Hill Family Fun Baseball League (FFL) to take place in September and open to kids and people of all ages.

Every Saturday afternoon from 12:00 to 16:00 for four weeks on September 8, 15, 22 and 29, we will congregate at Eastvale Park in Beacon Hill North ( to play baseball, cheer on the players and maybe have a barbecue.

We want to make it more than just a fun baseball game. We want it to be a community event – a very good reason for people to come out and get to know their neighbours and new classmates, even if they don’t want to play baseball.

Here’s how it works. Each person who is planning on attending fills out the form below as soon as possible. This will help us know how many people are planning on coming and if they intend to play or just watch. It will also let us know who we should notify if plans change due to weather or other reasons.

Then, everyone – any age, any ability – shows up at the field with equipment if they have it (including any extras to share) or just a smile if they don’t. They play baseball if they want, watch the game and chat with others if they don’t. If they decide to play but don’t know how, we’ll explain what to do. You don’t have to live in Beacon Hill if you want to attend.

So, are you in? If so, you can sign up at CCC If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with either of us directly: John McKay at and Matt Kletke at
