It’s Time to Clean Up Our Community
You’ve heard about it in the news, seen it in your church’s flyer and read it in the paper: Saturday May 5th, 2011 at 9:30am is the time to pitch in. We will accept any amount of help, but 2 hours usually gets us close to our goal. Meet us at Camilio’s restaurant on Shefford (902 Shefford Road at the corner of Loyola) road to get your assignment. We provide the medical gloves, maps and bags, you provide the love of your neighbourhood.
Don’t forget your Household Batteries: Please bring your used household batteries on the day of the clean-up (only HOUSEHOLD please as we are unable to take other batteries). We will ensure that these batteries make it into the City’s battery recycling program. Wet cell and car/boat batteries won’t be accepted at this event.
- Help keep Beacon Hill clean and inviting.
- Build Community spirit.
- Meet your neighbours.
- Get credit for high school volunteer-hours necessary for graduation.
Families, seniors, and high school volunteers are all welcome! After all your hard work, be sure to plan to join us for a group photos.
Hope to see you there! Please note that there is no rain date. This event is “Rain-or-Shine”. Be sure to dress appropriately. For more information, email Shannon Haggerty, firstname.lastname@example.org
All we need now are some people who care enough about their neighbourhood to spend a couple of hours tidying it up.
